How to setup your printer?

Description

1. Download the printer drivers and follow the software instructions. Ensure the printer is placed within reach of your computer’s cable without tangling.

2. Connect the printer to a power source. Plug it into your computer using a USB cable while the computer is powered on and unlocked. In some cases, connecting the printer will automatically set up and install it, allowing immediate use.

3. Click the Start button, located at the bottom-left corner of your screen. Select the Windows logo and then choose Settings. Navigate to Devices in the Settings menu.

4. Select Printers and Scanners from the left sidebar. Click on “Add a printer or scanner” at the top of the window.

5. Look for your printer’s name and click “Add device”. If your printer isn’t listed, click on “The printer that I want isn’t listed” and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup. Depending on your printer, you may need to adjust settings before it’s ready for use. If necessary, insert the CD that came with the printer into your computer’s disc drive. Alternatively, download the software from the manufacturer’s website if no CD was included, such as when buying a secondhand printer.
